Hi, my name is Heather Myers and I’m the Chief Psychology Officer here at Traitify.
Today I’d like to continue our discussion on candidate experience. In particular, taking a deep dive into creating a positive experience for all of those applying for jobs within our organizations.
Today’s candidates are used to a world that is personalized to them. From their shopping to their entertainment, they're used to receiving personalized recommendations. If we are going to create a candidate journey that’s truly positive for them, then that journey itself must be customized to the individual candidates as well.
The current process is broken. It isn't customized at all. In fact, typically candidates receive little to no feedback. Often they’re not even told when a job has been filled. So how can we change this? How can we personalize the process?
Well, one way to do this is to provide a short, science-based personality assessment early in the process, and then the data from this assessment can be used to personalize messages to the candidates at different stages.
First, they can receive feedback from their assessment, and receive things like how their personality can succeed for them at work. Then, they can receive customized interview tips to help them prepare for an upcoming interview. And finally, even if they don't get the job, they can still receive a personalized email back that gives them tips for continuing on their job search and wishes them well along the way.
Candidates who receive that will be happier and have a good experience about applying for the job in general and feel like they've received something back, even if they did not get the job in the end. Happy candidates will be champions of your brand, keep coming back to apply for positions in the future, and be more likely to continue to use your product and recommend it in the future.
Thank you so much for listening, and I hope you have a great day.
